Welcome to Hydrate, published by LaunchGrid. Hydrate is a privacy-first, local-only hydration companion designed for iOS and Android. This privacy policy describes our commitment to your absolute privacy: we do not collect, store, or transmit your personal data.

2. 100% Offline & No Accounts

We believe your personal logs belong only to you. Hydrate is architected to prioritize device-level isolation:

• No Accounts: You do not need to sign up, log in, or create an account to use Hydrate.
• No Cloud Sync or Backend: Hydrate has no backend databases, web servers, or cloud storage syncing. Your data never leaves your physical device.
• No Analytics or Crash-Reporting SDKs: We do not track how you use the app, and we do not use third-party analytics or error-reporting frameworks.
• No Advertisements: Hydrate is entirely ad-free. No advertising trackers or Ad IDs are utilized.

3. Local Storage & Encryption

Your logs, reminders, goals, and history are saved securely on your device:

• SQLCipher Encryption: All database storage is encrypted locally. The encryption keys are securely held by the device operating system (Keychain on iOS and Keystore on Android) and cannot be accessed externally.

4. Apple Health and Health Connect Integration

Hydrate allows you to sync health indicators to enrich your insights:

• Optional Permissions: Hydrate contextually requests permissions to read steps and sleep, and optionally write water logs.
• Device-Bound Integration: All health data fetched via Apple Health or Health Connect is processed entirely on your local device. It is never transmitted to LaunchGrid or any external servers.

5. Data Control & Deletion

You have full ownership of your data:

• Data Export: You can export a full copy of your logs in JSON format directly from the settings menu.
• Total Deletion: Deleting the app, or triggering the clear data option within the settings menu, permanently and irreversibly erases all local data from your device. Since we hold no backups, this action is final.

6. Changes to This Privacy Policy

We may update our Privacy Policy from time to time. We will notify you of any changes by posting the new Privacy Policy on this page and updating the "Last Updated" date.
