1. Introduction

Welcome to Know Your Cycle (also referred to as "Period Tracker"), published by LaunchGrid. Your privacy is paramount to us. This privacy policy describes how we handle the cycle, bleeding, symptom, mood, wellness, calendar, and private note data that you enter into the application.

2. Local-First Data Storage

Know Your Cycle is built to be a private, local-first cycle tracking application:

On-Device Storage: All cycle data, symptom logs, notes, and prediction history are stored locally on your device by default using an encrypted database (SQLCipher) and secure storage.
No Advertising Personalisation: We do not sell reproductive-health data. Your personal log history is never used to personalize advertisements.

3. Optional Cloud Backup

We provide a cloud backup feature so you can restore or sync your data across devices:

User-Initiated Backup: Cloud backup is completely optional. It is only activated if you choose to sign in to your backup account via the application settings.
Secure Storage: Cloud backup is powered by secure cloud database infrastructure (Firebase Auth and Cloud Firestore) to protect your data during transit and rest.

4. Third-Party Services & Ads

To support the free version of the application, we display ads:

Non-Personalized Ads: We use Google AdMob to serve ads. We configure our ad requests to use only contextual, non-personalized inventory. We never pass cycle logs or health metadata to ad networks or third parties.
Subscriptions: If you purchase a premium subscription, billing is processed securely by the Apple App Store or Google Play Store, and ads are disabled.

5. Data Deletion & Retention

You have full control over your data:

Local Deletion: You can purge all local logs and data directly from the settings menu inside the application at any time.
Cloud Backup Deletion: If you have enabled optional cloud backup, you can delete your cloud account and all associated backups from the application. Once triggered, all your backup data will be permanently deleted from our servers.

We may update our Privacy Policy from time to time. We will notify you of any changes by posting the new Privacy Policy on this page and updating the "Last Updated" date.
